Gift, 'the act of giving'...! Let me thank God, first - for HE has given me the 'life' to write this column for you, now; yes, if we think - then nothing is more precious than a 'life' (what do you say, my good friend?)! I still recall a television-serial (long back), where after a birthday celebration/party, the child asks his father, "why Mr. X & family did not buy me any gift, while others did?", and to his innocent query, his father retorted with this, "oh my child, since they are poor they were unable for any expensive gift, but their heartfelt BLESSINGS are more 'beyond' all (these) pricey gifts you have had today"! My eyes were wet, then (after seeing it on TV, the 'idiot box', that many of us call it today) - I thought, 'tangible' gifts lost here to 'blessings'...!

Gifts are always good to say this: "yes, I care about you..."! For some, pricey gifts do, but for others - a genuine 'smile' is more than enough; on the flow that we (both) are in, please find this, said by Buddha (founder of Buddhism): "Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship." How nice, no?! My friend Spencer Green always says, 'health is wealth', and, I understand it now, why...; it is like we (human beings) work hard to earn, but then end up spending more in/on 'keeping us healthy' (Yoo-hoo, boozers & smokers - this is for you!), all because - we do not care for the 'precious gift' (LIFE) that the Almighty has given us.

You are 'gifted'...know your value! Nothing is more precious than 'good health', so be good to yourself...! Life is very beautiful, and let us enjoy the beautiful gift we are bestowed upon...!
